EAPM News is part of the EAPM membership and is as such exclusively sent to EAPM members about three times per year.

Spring in Swyncombe Oxfordshire

1. From the President

To all my EAPM friends and colleagues,

I write to give you a brief update as we move into another lovely spring. We are preparing for a terrific annual meeting for you in Munich, Bavaria, where meeting President Peter Henningsen has created a great programme. We are also developing the organizations presence, with a refresh of website, logo and ‘strapline’ and a communications taskforce led by Board member Natalie Uhlenbusch. We are continuing to work on deepening and developing our relationships with our associated national organizations with a task force led by Board member Cedric Lemogne. We also continue to make practical plans for our educational activities with a task force led by Board member Judith Rosmalen.

All in all despite a troubled world we look forward to another good year for EAPM.

I look forward very much to seeing you again in September in the most interesting city of Munich.

Finally I wish you the very best from the EAPM Board.

3. NEW: EAPM Student Membership at annual rate of €10!

We would like to inform you that there will be a Student Membership in 2025 for the low fee of 10€. This is also particularly interesting in combination with a registration at the EAPM 2025 conference in Munich, which will then only cost 90€. This will make participation even more attractive for our early career researchers. Please spread the word and encourage your early career colleagues to take advantage of this opportunity.

You are an EAPM member and would like to nominate another EAPM member as EAPM fellow? Please send an e-mail to fellowship2025@eapm.eu.com and write Fellowship 2025 in the subject line. Please state your own name and the name of the member and describe why you think this member should be made a fellow in less than 300 words .

11. Join in! – EAPM pages in the JPR

A section of the journal is devoted to topics of particular relevance to EAPM.
As part of the agreement with the Journal of Psychosomatic Research, EAPM has a quota of 48 pages per year for EAPM-related matters, including papers, letters, news, advertisements, publications of C-L activities in various European countries and much more.

EAPM members are invited to submit papers for the EAPM pages to ensure that we make full use of our pages. Instructions for authors can be found below.

Instructions for authors of EAPM pages

EAPM contributions should not exceed 1000 words. Contributions are not meant to publish results of specific disease-related research; topics covered should be of general interest, stem from countries participating in the EAPM or refer to EAPM activities. EAPM contributions are not peer-reviewed but subject to editorial approval.

12. Join in! – Use our EAPM listserv

The EAPM members’ clinical network list exists to provide a forum for all individual EAPM members to exchange information. Its uses include seeking advice on clinical issues and services and sharing ideas and collaborating on research. It can also be used to share relevant publications and documents.  The list is maintained by the EAPM.
