SIG Climate Crisis and Mental Health
Chairs: Dr. Isolde Busch, Verona/ Italy and Dr. Natalie Uhlenbusch, Hamburg/ Germany
Mission Statement
In this group, we aim to use/leverage our professional knowledge and responsibility to address the various biopsychosocial consequences of the climate crisis and to inspire change towards planetary health. This group will also strive to better understand the psychological barriers to engaging in climate action (e.g., distance, doom, dissonance, denial) and the psychological aspects of change and transformation, while highlighting the European perspective. A strong focus will be on the promotion of research and training on the topic as well as networking with other associations on an international level.
